Andreas De Blue Corp served as the lead infrastructure and strategy consultant for the City of Chicago’s ambitious Smart Mobility Initiative — a multiyear effort aimed at transforming the city’s urban mobility systems through data-driven innovation, multimodal integration, and sustainable planning. Our role was pivotal in shaping the framework for a smarter, more resilient transportation network capable of supporting both current and future demands.
Our consulting team conducted an extensive audit of existing infrastructure and traffic flow systems across the greater Chicago metropolitan area. We developed a comprehensive mobility blueprint that integrated public transit, pedestrian pathways, autonomous vehicle readiness, and micro-mobility solutions such as bike and scooter sharing. Using advanced modeling and geospatial analytics, we identified bottlenecks and proposed phased infrastructure upgrades, with a focus on equity, access, and environmental impact.
In collaboration with the City’s Department of Transportation, regional planners, and private mobility partners, Andreas De Blue Corp facilitated stakeholder workshops, conducted feasibility studies, and delivered actionable policy recommendations. These included adaptive traffic signal systems, smart curb management for deliveries, and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure planning.
Our work also addressed federal funding compliance, sustainability benchmarks, and public-private investment strategies. The final strategic roadmap laid the groundwork for Chicago’s adoption of smart city technologies, and has since served as a reference model for other urban centers seeking to modernize their infrastructure.
This engagement reinforced Andreas De Blue Corp’s position as a trusted advisor in urban transformation — combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of policy, technology, and the human experience of infrastructure.
